West Ham move for Brazilian back on as target set to perform transfer U-Turn

West Ham’s move for Luis Guilherme is back on, talkSPORT understands.

It was reported earlier on Monday that the Hammers’ pursuit of midfielder Guilherme was ending despite technical director travelling to Brazil in an attempt to sign the 18-year-old and defender Fabricio Bruno.

talkSPORT understands a deal of ā‚¬25million and ā‚¬5m in add-ons is close to being agreed.

The 18-year-old only made his senior debut in March 2023, but has become a key player for the league champions where he is part of a formidable attack consisting of Real Madrid-bound Endrick.

Their move for Bruno is looking unlikely though despite West Ham being in advanced talks with Brazilian outfit Flamengo in their bid to sign defender Bruno for Ā£12.5million.

It was understood that owner David Sullivan was poised to pull the plug on the two transfers amid a belief the club wasn’t willing to pay the wages that the duo are demanding.

Despite disappointment over Bruno, all signs still point towards a busy summer at West Ham.

New manager Julen Lopetegui is keen to bolster his squad, with as many as four signings to potentially arrive at the club.
