Western Conference teams predicted to trade for Giannis Anteto
With the offseason looming, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is entering the offseason, possibly becoming one of the biggest names on the trade block.
The 30-year-old star is fresh off an MVP-caliber season, one where he averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists.
According to one NBA analyst, the Greek Freak could be eyeing a fresh start next season down in the Lone Star State.
In Bleacher Report’s latest 2025 NBA Offseason Trade Predictions, Zach Buckley predicts that the superstar forward would get traded to the San Antonio Spurs or the Houston Rockets in the offseason.
“If Antetokounmpo wants to win, he has to realize Milwaukee can’t give him that chance. Do you know who could, though? How about a youth-heavy Houston Rockets team that just won 52 games without him? Or a San Antonio Spurs squad featuring the league’s next cheat-code great in Victor Wembanyama?, Bleacher Report wrote.
Both teams have substantial trade chips to offer the Bucks in a potential rebuild.
The Rockets, who took a massive leap forward, finished the season with 52 wins and made the postseason for the first time since 2020. They have an established young core with Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun, and Amen Thompson.
Meanwhile, the Spurs have a rising star in Victor Wembanyama, alongside De’Aaron Fox, and the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Antetokounmpo has spent his entire career with the Bucks, winning an NBA Championship and two MVP awards. If the Bucks are heading toward a reset, either team could offer them a haul for their superstar.
