The wait is over. Taylor Swift has appeared on the “New Heights” podcast with Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce. NFL fans have gotten used to seeing Swift and the two together at Travis’ games. Now, Swift sits down with the Kelce brothers for her first podcast appearance, the first time fans have heard from both Travis and Swift together in a long interview setting.

Swift discussed her new album, her touring experience, getting the rights back to her songs, her relationship with Kelce, and more in-depth.

How Did a Friendship Bracelet Set the Tone for a Future Relationship?
Before Swift and Travis started dating, Kelce disclosed his interest in Swift on the podcast and attended one of Swift’s shows. He had brought friendship bracelets for himself and the other to give to Swift. Jason asked Swift if the friendship bracelets were that good. Spoiler alert: Swift never even saw the bracelets.

“I’ve never seen the original,” said Swift. Travis chimed in, “Yeah, they didn’t leave the stadium because I was butthurt, Jason.”

Swift asked Travis on their first date about what it was like being on the field at the same time as Jason when they squared off in the Super Bowl.

“He was like, actually, I’m on the offense and my brother’s on the offense, and I’m only on the field at the same time as the defense,” said Travis in response.

She added, “You don’t understand. I thought it was like, Jared Goff is here, and Josh Allen’s here. Yeah, and they’re gonna be like, they blow a whistle and then they go at each other.”

“We’re talking about cover two, cover four, cover zero, man, we’re learning. I continue to learn,” said Swift.

While some fans might not enjoy the coverage surrounding Swift, she has the NFL knowledge to back up her case as a football fan.

What Was Swift’s Reaction After Re-Obtaining The Rights to Her Own Music?
Swift broke down when she found out she had gotten the rights to her music back. Swift did not own her first six albums. When she was only 15 years old, she signed a record deal that did not allow her to own her master recordings.

“It’s always been a huge thing for me. Like, since I was a teenager, I’ve been actively saving up money to buy my music back and to ever own it in the first place because it’s usually the label that owns it,” said Swift.

This summer, though, she was finally able to own her music. After rerecording her old songs so that she could own them, she still searched for the early recordings in her possession. She didn’t want part ownership but full, complete control, and that’s what she got.

Swift got emotional as she started tearing up, recollecting this moment. She detailed the phone call from her mother when she found out the news she’d been waiting years for.

“She was like, ‘You got your music.’ And I just like very dramatically hit the floor for real. Like, honestly, just started bawling my eyes out,” said Swift.

Travis was playing video games, and Swift was struggling to get the words out. After Swift delivered the news to Travis, she lost control of her legs and dropped to the floor, overwhelmed with emotion at such a pivotal moment in her career and life.

What Did Swift Reveal About Her Feelings on the Eras Tour?
Jason asked Swift about her experience with the Eras Tour and how it feels to be done with it. Swift is enjoying not touring right now but certainly misses it.

“It feels great, Jason, to be honest, I’m not going to lie to you. I miss it, but it’s like, it was perfect for what it was,” responded Swift.

Swift gave her all to her tour as she was in “a lot of physical therapy and a lot of, like, being in a state of pereptual discomfort.”

Travis was shocked at what Swift goes through to prepare a concert on the Eras Tour.

“She does more than I do,” said Kelce on Swift.

It’s quite fascinating to imagine what Swift goes through for each concert, given that Travis prepares intensely each week for an NFL game with some of the best athletes in the world.

When reflecting on his view of the tour, Travis said, “She blew me away.”

What Is Swift’s Latest Hobby?
Swift loves her music, that’s no doubt, but she also loves to bake, paint, and sew. Travis expressed his enjoyment in watching Swift take pride in her hobbies.

“It’s been so fun to see what Taylor actually gets into around the house,” said Travis.

Swift has got some jokes for herself, categorizing her hobbies as “hobbies you could have had in the 1700s.”

Her most recent obsession is baking sourdough bread. Travis has taken a liking to this as it’s also good food for him. Travis even asked for some sourdough loaves to take to training camp practices. But Swift’s newest bread is a funfetti sourdough she’s been working on.

Swift is hungry for success, no matter the field. She’s always looking for answers, asking friends for feedback.

How Have Numbers Connected Travis and Swift?
Swift has always had a lucky number, 13, and is a big fan of numerology. Travis has always worn 87 for the Chiefs. Numerology is the idea that numbers have a connection to people’s lives. For Travis and Swift, their numbers add up to 100.

“Yeah, 13 plus 87 equals 100. That’s numerology. Like numbers that have a special significance,” said Swift.

Oddly enough, Jason’s favorite number has been 13. Swift said, “and that’s part of the numerology of why we’re dating,” when helping Jason understand the premise of numerology.

After announcing an album, Swift gave all the details about it on the podcast. Her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl”, will be released on October 3 and consist of 12 songs. Swift won’t be the only artist on the album, as Sabrina Carpenter is set to make a feature appearance on the last song.

Swift made this album while touring on the Eras Tour, hence the name of the album.
