What Do Instagram Influencers Think About AI [Infographic]
With the generative AI hype cycle in full swing, every platform is working frantically to come up with new ways to integrate AI creation tools into their systems, to help enable creativity, and boost engagement.
But thus far, most of the generative AI options within social apps have felt pretty flat.
There are AI chatbots, which can help in content discovery, but donât really add much beyond the existing search tools in this respect. Thereâs generative AI images, which you can use to depict yourself in unreal scenarios, which hold some appeal, but the novelty wears off pretty quick.
Metaâs also working on generative AI video creation, so that you can place yourself in imagined scenes. Which is also interesting, from a technological standpoint, but itâs not clear as yet whether people will actually find these tools interesting, or engaging, or how they even fit within âsocialâ spaces.
Creators and influencers are also looking at new ways to utilise AI, with both Meta and TikTok now offering creators the opportunity to create AI depictions of themselves, which can stream on their behalf.
Is that a good thing? Does that enhance of undermine the foundations of what social platforms have been built on?
To get some more perspective on how influencers view this, HypeAuditor recently surveyed 620 Instagram influencers to see what they think about AI tools for content creation, digital clones, AI generated content, and more.
Some interesting notes on the broader AI shift.
