When Is Captain America: Brave New World Streaming?

For all of you Anthony Mackie fans who wanted to see the man fully take the spotlight as Captain America, the time has come. The MCU’s 35th movie, Captain America: Brave New World, debuts in theaters this Valentine’s Day weekend—and there’s plenty for you to get excited about.

The film features Mackie as Sam Wilson, who is finally out and about in the world with the star-spangled shield, following the events of Avengers: Endgame and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He tussles with Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus Ross, who—if you’ve seen a single bit of promotional material for the film—you know will bust out of his slacks and turn into a Hulk at some point. Directed by Julius Onah, Brave New World also sees Giancarlo Esposito, Tim Blake Nelson, and Carl Lumbly join the action.Want to know what Mackie himself thinks of the film? It stays in the lines of Marvel,” he said. “It stays in the lines of Captain America, and it’s fun and it’s big.”

Brave New World just debuted in theaters, so you’ll have to wait quite some time until you can watch it at home—but not too long. We can guess the film’s streaming date from looking at Marvel’s last outing, the massively successful Deadpool & Wolverine. The Hugh Jackman and Ryan Gosling–led film hit theaters on July 26, 2024, then hit digital platforms a little over two months later, on October 1. It premiered on Disney+ one month after that, on November 12. That means we can safely expect Brave New World to stream via video-on-demand services in mid-April, followed by a likely Disney+ premiere in May.
