Sarina Wiegman’s side defended their European title via a nerve-jangling penalty shootout victory over Spain after the final ended 1-1 in regular and extra time.

With the trophy secure, attention now shifts towards when fans back home can celebrate the Lionesses’ latest triumph.
So, when can we expect to see Wiegman’s side parade their trophy around the capital?
Where will the Lionesses trophy parade take place?The Lionesses fly home from Switzerland on Monday before a reception at 10 Downing Street, hosted by deputy prime minister Angela Rayner and sports minister Stephanie Peacock.

Fans will then have the chance to celebrate the Lionesses on Tuesday as they partake in an open-top bus parade.
It will begin along The Mall and end with a staged ceremony at the Queen Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace.
When will the Lionesses’ trophy parade begin?The parade will commence at 12:10pm.
As for the staged ceremony outside Buckingham Palace, that is anticipated to take place at 12:30pm.
The ceremony will be hosted by former Lioness Alex Scott, who represented her nation 140 times during her career.

The event, which will be free to attend, will have live music being played by DJ CharStape.
For fans of more traditional music, they will have their needs catered for as the Band of His Majesty’s Royal Marines Portsmouth and the Central Band of the Royal Air Force will both be there to welcome home the Lionesses.
Supporters will also get the chance to relive every moment from the Lionesses’ journey to the final, with tournament highlights to be shown on a big screen.
Following all of that, Wiegman and her team will take to the stage for a trophy lift presentation.
Will there be a bank holiday?Fans have been desperately searching whether or not the victory will result in a bank holiday – so much so that it was trending on Google.

There was no bank holiday after the 2022 triumph over Germany – and the current government have no plans to change that.
Speaking to Times Radio, business secretary Jonathan Reynolds said: “There should be a day of celebration. That’s what the prime minister promised.
“That’s not a bank holiday, but there is a Downing Street reception today. There’ll be the Victory Parade tomorrow.
“I’m afraid I can’t announce a bank holiday, but there should be a celebration to mark this brilliant achievement.”
How to watch the Lionesses’ trophy ceremonyFor those who are unable to make it to the trophy parade in person, they will still be able to catch all the action at home.
The celebration will be broadcast across the BBC, ITV and Sky from 12pm through to 1pm.
