Where to watch Rangers vs. Islanders NHL Stadium Series: TV channel, live streams, time for outdoor hockey game
As part of the NHL’s two-game Stadium Series this weekend, the Rangers will take on the Islanders in New Jersey at MetLife Stadium.Â
The Rangers are at the top of the Metropolitan Division, earning the division’s top spot by a landslide. They have a 35-16-3 record and 73 season points, giving them a strong push at the playoffs.Â
Scoring 3.23 goals per game, the Rangers own the NHL’s 12th best offense. They are led by Artemi Panarin, who has 71 points from 31 goals and 40 assists. All of those metrics are within the top 10 of the NHL.Â
They also have one of the best goalies in the game with Jonathan Quick. Between him and Igor Shesterkin — who has played more games than Quick — they own the league’s seventh-best goaltending cohort.Â
As for the Islanders, they stand in fifth place in the division. They’re right on the fourth place Devils’ heels with 57 points, trailing by just one. The Islanders are 22-18-13 this season.Â
On offense, they’re averaging 2.91 goals per game, which is good for the 18th best offense in the NHL. They are led by Mathew Barzal, who has posted 57 points on 15 goals and a blistering 41 assists.Â
Between Ilya Sorokin and Semyon Varlamov, the Islanders are allowing 3.26 goals per game, good for 20th in the league.Â
