Whew! Circulating Video Shows DDG Saying He’d Advise His 22-Year-Old Self To Remain Single (WATCH)
Halle Bailey has not publicly discussed the alleged break-up with her son’s father, DDG, yet. However, a third piece of content involving the streamer has already gone viral. First, it was the break-up reveal on Instagram Stories. Then, there was the leaked post of him allegedly trash-talking Halle. Now, a clip of DDG’s most recent podcast episode shows him discussing his shifted stance on relationships as a youngin’.
Here’s What DDG Would Advise His Younger Self
In the fourth episode of ‘No Ordinary Podcast,’ the streamer offered another streamer named Jay Cinco some advice. If he could, DDG said he would tell his 22-year-old self to avoid a romantic commitment.
“…It’s best for you to be single in these years of your life so you can really grind. Ain’t nobody going nowhere…unless a girl get a new n***a or something…whoever you like in this moment, but get your ducks in a row first and grind and not have no restrictions.”
DDG added that there are restrictions and expectations when locked into a relationship, especially with work-life balance. “You gotta always consider their feelings, so it’s like you can’t really work how you wanna work, and if I can tell myself something at age 22, I would tell myself not to get into a relationship because it’s damn near like having a part-time job. You really have to apply a lot of time and effort” he added.
Additionally, the streamer gave Jay Cinco the example of a girlfriend copping an attitude if her man is “doing videos all day.” He said such relationship issues can trickle into content production and the grind.
“If I was 22, I would tell myself, ‘Bro, just grind it out and let a relationship happen. But only happen when you feel comfortable within yourself as a man,” DDG said. “I feel like you shouldn’t get into a relationship until you feel like a n***a can’t DM your girl and take your girl. Like if you feel like there’s a n***a out there that’s more lit, more stable than you that can tke your girl, then you ain’t working hard enough.”
Streamer Sparked All The Break-Up Talk With THIS Post
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time DDG has advised Jay Cinco to prioritize the grind over the ladies and love. About three weeks ago, during a stream, Jay opened up about being single again. Halle’s alleged ex-man reacted to the stream by repeating some of the same advice shared in the clip above.
Note that when DDG was 22 years old in 2020, Rubi Rose was seemingly in the picture. In a video uploaded on Feb. 14, 2020, the two met for the first time on a blind date set up by Rubi’s former friend, Lala Baptiste.
Fast-forward to this week. The podcast episode dropped on Oct. 3, the same day that DDG revealed his split from Halle Bailey on his Instagram Stories. In his post, the streamer implied that the break-up was mutual.
“After much reflections and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path for the both of us. I cherished the time we spent together and the love we’ve shared,” the message read.
Furthermore, the streamer said they remain “best friends and adore each other. Also, they hope to move forward while focusing on their individual paths and co-parenting their infant son, Halo.
On Friday (Oct. 4), a post surfaced online that seemingly showed DDG bad-mouthing Halle on his Instagram Stories Close Friends. He has since spoken out about the post, denying it came from him.
