Andy Roddick and Serena Williams are just two tennis stars who’ve made headlines for their high-profile romances — and celebrity hook ups — in addition to their athletic abilities.

Roddick romanced Mandy Moore in the early 2000s before he found The One in wife Brooklyn Decker. The two women, however, are both still some of Roddick’s biggest fans. In August 2023, Moore celebrated the 20th anniversary of Roddick’s US Open championship.

“I’m so happy for him and his family. Congrats on this milestone, Andy!” Moore wrote via her Instagram Story alongside his GQ Sports profile.

Decker, who has been married to Roddick since 2009, replied to Moore’s post, calling the actress “a class act.” Decker noted that Moore was “a huge part” of Roddick’s life when he won the coveted title in 2003.

Williams, for her part, dated Common and Drake before saying “I Do” to Alexis Ohanian in 2017.

Brooklyn Decker

Decker married Roddick in 2009 after two years together. The couple welcomed son Hank and daughter Stevie in 2015 and 2018, respectively.

Alexis Ohanian

The Reddit cofounder met Williams in May 2015 although it’s unclear when they started dating. They got engaged in December 2016. Ohanian and Williams welcomed their first child, daughter Olympia, in September 2017. The duo tied the knot later that year. The 23-time Grand Slam winner gave birth to the couple’s second baby, daughter Adira, in August 2023.

Sara Foster

Foster began dating German tennis pro Tommy Haas in the mid-2000s. Haas retired from the sport seven years later after winning 15 career titles in singles but has continued to play in legends matches and exhibitions. Foster and Haas share two daughters: Valentina Evelyn, born in 2010, and Josephine Lena born in 2015. News broke in August 2024 that Foster and Haas reportedly split after 19 years together.

Enrique Iglesias

Iglesias met former tennis star Anna Kournikova in December 2001 on the set of his “Escape” music video. The pair began dating almost immediately and welcomed twins Nicholas and Lucy in December 2017. Their third child, daughter Mary, arrived in January 2020.

Bridgette Wilson

The Wedding Planner actress married Pete Sampras in September 2000. Two years later, Sampras retired from tennis after winning his fifth US Open championship. He was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2007. The pair share sons Christian and Ryan, born in 2002 and 2005, respectively.

Cordae

The rapper began dating Japanese tennis pro Naomi Osaka in 2019. The couple have kept most of their relationship private, but Osaka announced in January 2023 that they were expecting baby No. 1. Their daughter was born in July of that year.

Brooke Shields

Shields had a high-profile romance with Andre Agassi beginning in 1993. The pair tied the knot in 1997 but called it quits two years later. The former world No. 1 tennis player moved on with fellow tennis pro Steffi Graf, whom Agassi married in 2001. Agassi and Graf share son Jaden and daughter Jaz. Shields wed Chris Henchy in 2001 and later welcomed two daughters, Rowan and Grier.

LMFAO’s Redfoo (real name Stefan Kendal Gordy) was first linked to Belarusian player Victoria Azarenka in 2012. The twosome called it quits in 2014.

Kaley Cuoco

Us Weekly broke the news in September 2013 that Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting were engaged after three months of dating. The pair said “I do” in a New Year’s Eve ceremony that same year. Us confirmed in September 2015 that the actress was getting a divorce. Cuoco married equestrian Karl Cook in June 2018, but they called it quits in September 2021. Cuoco began dating actor Tom Pelphrey in 2022. The couple welcomed their first baby, daughter Matilda, in March 2023 and got engaged the following year.

The musician reportedly dated Williams on and off from 2007 to 2010. The tennis legend made a guest appearance in Common’s 2007 music video for “I Want You.” The following year, Williams played coy about her relationship status when asked by reporters about Common. Williams confirmed in 2010 that she and Common had split. “His schedule is actually worse than mine,” she told Harper’s Bazaar at the time. “He didn’t want the responsibility. It’s really tough.”

Mandy Moore

Moore dated Roddick for less than two years before they split in 2004. During their relationship, the This Is Us alum was in the stands to watch Roddick win the US Open in 2003. Roddick later married Decker, while Moore tied the knot in 2018 with Taylor Goldsmith. Moore and Goldsmith share two sons: Gus and Ozzie.

The rapper was first linked to Williams in summer 2015 after he was spotted front row at several of her tennis matches. The twosome were seen getting cozy in Cincinnati that August, seemingly confirming their romance. Drake and Williams’ relationship fizzled out later that year.
