Whoopi Goldberg bagged a film role after stomping out of her house to complain about noisy neighbors
Whoopi Goldberg bagged a role in a movie after stomping out of her house to complain about noisy activity on her street, according to director Mario Van Peebles.
âI did not cast Whoopi. Whoopi cast herself,â Van Peebles told Page Six of his new Western, âOutlaw Posse,â âI was directing a show on the [Hulu drama] âWu-Tang: An American Sagaâ in New Jersey, and this neighbor came over all irate yelling, âWho is making all that racket,â and it was Whoopi.â
âWhen she realized I was directing, I asked her what do you want do next,â Van Peebles said, âand she said, âI want do a Westernâ and I said âIâm getting ready to do a Western.â Then she said, âDo you know who Stagecoach Mary is?,â and I said âYes.’â
