WIN! Underwater Magic at Qinhuangdao Xin’ao Sea World

Nestled between the Yanshan Mountains to the north and the Bohai Sea to the south, Qinhuangdao Xin’ao Sea World is a shining pearl on the coast of Jinmeng Bay in national-level scenic city Qinhuangdao.

Jointly built by China and Australia for a whopping RMB230 million, its 6,500 tons of water contain more than a thousand species of tropical fish.

Spread over an area of 20,000 square meters, discover different zones such as Sea World Aquarium, Dolphin Show Hall, Underwater Dragon Palace, Dream Venice, Colorful Coral Sea, Underwater Tunnel, Deep-sea Exploration, Seal Feeding, Naughty Fort, Cute Pet Secret Realm, Bird Language Forest, and Marine Boutique Store.

Sea World Aquarium

Equipped with advanced aquarium management technology, Sea World Aquarium houses over 200 species of marine animals from all over the world, totaling more than 10,000 individuals.

Among them, there are a large number of national first-level and second-level rare and protected animals, including lemon sharks, leopard sharks, nurse sharks, dolphins, green sea turtles, seals, manta rays and other marine creatures for tourists to enjoy.

The main performance area has a water depth of eight meters and hosts wonderful performances every day, from exciting fish feeding to romantic mermaid shows.

Underwater Tunnel

The 100-meter transparent tunnel is a major draw, an electric conveyor belt carrying tourists into the underwater world, where they are surrounded by colorful coral reefs and rare marine creatures swimming all around them.

Dolphin Show Hall

Sitting in the fan-shaped Dolphin Show Hall grandstand and looking into the distance, the performance pool and the sea seem to blend into one.

Here, accompanied by beautiful music, visitors can enjoy the dolphins’ wonderful performances such as water waltz, mid-air ball juggling, jumping through hoops, dolphin riders, singing, and clapping.

You also have the opportunity to touch the dolphins personally, shake hands and communicate with them, experiencing the harmony between humans and nature firsthand.

Possessing remarkable intelligence, dolphins are known as the ‘wise ones in the sea,’ and tend to be tame and approachable when getting close to people, bringing great joy.

You can also appreciate the excellent acting skills of sea lions such as shooting baskets, underwater breakdancing, and Chinese kung fu.

Sea lions are both smart and cute, known as the comedians of the marine animal performance family; their humorous performances can easily make you laugh out loud.

They can perform nearly 20 tricks such as kissing and clapping, while their elegant posture and lovely singing voices will entrance you throughout the performance.

With their intelligence and cleverness, this unique marine animal will leave you with a lasting memory.

Humboldt Penguins

Meet the Humboldt Penguins, listed as one of the animals protected by numerous international organizations, who live in the temperate zones at Qinhuangdao Xin’ao Sea World!

Dream Venice

Newly added this year, Dream Venice is a recreation of said charming city that sits on the sea. Gondolas sway forward on rippling waves in the narrow canals.

The Floating City was where Marco Polo brought Eastern culture to Europe more than 700 years ago, and the meandering water alleys of Dream Venice are like seductive sirens telling the stories of the ages.

When night falls, Dream Venice becomes illuminated by brilliant lights, while melodious music lingers in the ears, truly recreating ‘La Serenissima,’ or the ‘Most Serene,’ as the Italian city is known.

Deep Blue Fairy Tale

Cap off your Qinhuangdao Xin’ao Sea World at Deep Blue Fairy Tale, an underwater restaurant and bar that was eight months in the making.

This mysterious ‘Deep Sea Castle’ integrates AI fairytale magic with an international-standard marine cultural element design concept, and features the largest cylindrical jellyfish tank in Northern China, a giant marine aquarium tank, a magic check-in wall, and a summer-style bar.

Here, experience the dual enjoyment of vision and taste.
