WTCS Cagliari Results: Full finishing order and times with Yee vs Wilde, NIGHTMARE for Blummenfelt and more Olympic triathlon clues

Alex Yee took a third successive win at WTCS Cagliari, as the Olympic silver medalist demonstrated his class over the final stages of the run to sprint away from New Zealander Hayden Wilde.

The pair, who had battled it out in similar fashion 12 months ago, were inseparable for 9.9km of the run, with Yee just about having enough to snatch his first WTCS victory of the season on the blue carpet.

In third, Hungarian former Junior and U23 World Champion Csongor Lehmann made good on his potential and secured a maiden WTCS podium, finishing in a strong third to round out the podium.
