WWE Icon Voices Skepticism Over Rumors Of Liv Morgan’s Involvement In Potential Street Fight
Liv Morgan has become one of the most talked-about names in professional wrestling. The former WWE Women’s Champion and current Women’s Tag Team Champion has earned a reputation as one of the most notable figures in the business.
She’s been embroiled in a year-long feud with Rhea Ripley, leading to multiple moments that WWE fans will never forget. Morgan would start as the protagonist of the feud with Ripley before eventually turning to the dark side and joining Judgment Day.
Since Morgan joined Judgment Day, she’s been a prominent figure in the women’s main event scene. She has taken part in multiple matches with Ripley on television, but her non-televised matches against Ripley on the overseas tour have sparked some discussion.
Dutch Mantell Is Not A Fan of Liv Morgan In Street Fights
While Morgan and Ripley have been engaged in street fights during the current WWE overseas tour, it seems not everyone is a fan. During a recent episode of the Dutch Mantell Podcast, the former WWE personality spoke his mind about Morgan being involved in street fights and bloody matches.
“First of all, Liv Morgan’s a good-looking woman. She’s a very nice attractive woman and as far as me, I want to see them in the ring, but I don’t want to see them all messed up”
“Someone said ‘What about the women bleeding?’ No. Hell no we don’t need to do that, I don’t think that sells you any tickets. Half your audience is female. And I don’t think the females, even though they might not like her, I don’t think they want to see her beat down like that.”
While Mantell is entitled to his opinion, women have often taken part in street fights, and brutal matches, and succeeded. Morgan’s ability to bring fans into her matches and take the brutality dished out adds to the growth of her character.
Street fights aren’t a match we see often, but if it calls for it, don’t be surprised to see Morgan continue to take place in them. Her character is known to get under the skin of not just fans, but her peers as well, which can lead to more intense rivalries like her feud with Ripley.
What’s Next For Liv Morgan?
Morgan has a long road ahead towards WrestleMania. She has no concrete plans in place, and Ripley is seemingly locked in for WrestleMania with Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky.
Could Morgan end up defending her Women’s tag team titles with Raquel Rodriguez? That seems like a possible path, but we haven’t seen the two interact with any tag teams since winning the titles. Could that change this Monday on RAW? Time will tell.
