With the advantage in the women’s WarGames match on the line and fueled by revenge following a backstage assault that left her partner out of action, women’s tag team champion Bianca Belair squared off with WWE women’s champion Nia Jax in a high-stakes showdown Monday night on WWE Raw.
Who emerged victorious, what does it mean for one of Saturday’s marquee bouts, and what else went down on the go-home episode ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver?

World heavyweight champion Gunther joined interviewer Jackie Redmond in the squared circle for a promo to kick off Monday’s show.
A verbal confrontation turned physical, with The Ring General attacking his opponent with the microphone.
Priest recovered and delivered a Razor’s Edge through the announce table to close out a solid, if unspectacular, segment.

There was nothing new to this, but it still managed to tell the story of a clearly rattled Gunther—still reeling from losing to Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel—again falling at the feet of The Archer of Infamy ahead of Survivor Series.

The rivalry between the LWO and American Made continued Monday night when Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee squared off with Brutus and Julius Creed.
An action-packed, fast-paced match saw the babyfaces in a position to claim victory, only for Chad Gable to interject himself in the closing moments and blind Mysterio with his mask, allowing Julius to score a roll-up pinfall for the tainted victory.

These two teams had some stellar chemistry. The spots were nearly flawless and Julius really shined here, showcasing his athleticism as he shared the ring with one of the greatest to ever do it.
A strong match, with the right team winning, it served as the latest chapter in this feud instead of its deciding one.

Backstage, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley argued over who the fifth member of their team should be on Saturday. Bron Breakker and Ludwig Kaiser’s battle for the Intercontinental Championship ended with the arrival of Sheamus, who attacked the latter in retaliation for the Imperium member ruining his title hopes a week earlier.
What was a solid back-and-forth battle that saw Kaiser halt Breakker’s early momentum and roll served as the setup for Adam Pearce’s announcement that the champion will defend against Kaiser and Sheamus at Survivor Series on Saturday.

In terms of in-ring content, do not be surprised if that match steals the show in Vancouver. Sheamus is one of the more underappreciated workers, and Kaiser has been great. Breakker’s explosiveness merely accentuates it all.

The World Tag Team Championship remains with Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh following Monday’s victory over The War Raiders, the latest tainted win in a seemingly unending string of them for The Judgment Day.
Late in the contest, the challengers rolled on the strength of Ivar’s offense. He had the Raiders in a position to secure the win and titles until Dominik Mysterio and Carlito appeared, providing a distraction that halted their momentum.
Bálor used Ivar’s beard to pull him off the ropes and hang him up on the top rope, which let McDonagh to score the win off a cheap roll-up.
A good match with a finish that reminds the power-hungry Bálor he needs Mysterio and Co. to stay winning while also protecting The Viking Raiders. This was everything it needed to be.

The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods battled Alpha Academy’s Otis and Akira Tozawa next, the product of a tense backstage confrontation last week.
The match was short-lived as whatever goodwill existed between Kingston and Woods entering the match was extinguished. The latter tagged himself in and immediately fell victim to the Caterpillar from Otis and a sky-high senton from Tozawa.
After the match, The New Day returned backstage where weeks of frustration boiled over, culminating in an exchange of insults that ended with them going their separate ways.
The New Day story has been one of the best in WWE over the last three months. This was the best moment of the entire thing, with two guys who have known each other for the last decade finally unloading their frustrations.
Who knows where it leads next, but one would assume Big E returning to talk sense into them would be the endgame.

Bianca Belair earned the WarGames advantage for her team at Survivor Series with a grueling victory over Nia Jax.
The EST of WWE overcame all of Jax’s ferocious offense and capitalized on late interference from Bayley to earn the win with a picture-perfect 450 splash.
As the show went off the air, Bayley and Belair exchanged glances, suggesting the babyfaces had found their fifth member. More importantly, it rested some of the tension and distrust that existed between the two dating back to their rivalry in 2022.
The Bayley reveal at the end was well done, but the match itself was somewhat clunky in a few spots, particularly once the exposed turnbuckle came into play.
Belair having her neck crushed into it was no big deal, but Jax took one shot into it and it ended the match. Little things like that hurt the overall quality.

This was a perfectly fine go-home show that highlighted Raw’s contributions to the Survivor Series card while promoting the other rivalries and stories going on elsewhere on the red brand.
We had a very good LWO-American Made showdown, solid work from Breakker and Kaiser, and a great New Day backstage promo that enhances the significance of next week’s 10th-anniversary celebration.
Good in-ring content for the most part, coupled with last-minute prep for one of the signature events on the WWE calendar, made this a successful show, even if it lacked star power at times.
