WWE star Roman Reigns and Jason Momoa are reportedly being eyed for live-action ‘Street Fighter’ film
Legendary Pictures is now in the casting phase, and the names on their list are big ones.
According to a recent report from Deadline, WWE star and actor Roman Reigns along with “Aquaman’s Jason Momoa, “Bullet Train’s” Andrew Koji and “Warfare’s” Noah Centineo are reportedly in talks to star in the studio’s live-action “Streetfighter” movie, which is on the Capcom video games. According to the report, film adaptation is being co-developed and co-produced alongside Capcom, and follows the news of Kitao Sakurai (“Bad Trip”) joining the film as a director in February.Â
The movie was originally eyeing a release date of March 20, 2026, but that has since been pulled from Sony’s schedule, although a 2026 release date hasn’t been officially pulled from the table. Additionally, film insider Jeff Sneider confirmed via his X account that Reigns will be playing Akuma, the villain responsible for killing his own older brother Gouken, and Ryu and Ken’s trainer.
