So, who is truly suffering now?” Numerous Ghanaians have voiced their dissatisfaction with the current economic climate, characterized by soaring inflation, job losses, and an escalating cost of living. Some former NDC voters have expressed regret over their choice. Yaw Mensah, a taxi driver from Kumasi, confessed, “I voted for change, hoping for improvement. Yet now, fuel prices are exorbitant, and my customers are unhappy. Life has become more challenging than before.” In a similar vein, Abena Owusu, a market vendor in Accra, stated, “I trusted the promises made, but now I realize it was merely rhetoric.
